Note: The Honda Ridgeline has two tailgate locks that are connected; only one tailgate lock is needed to secure this tailgate. This lock will also work for a Honda Ridgeline with an OEM backup camera.

Installed the Pop and Lock manual system along with a new tonneau top. The Pop & Lock is a great product and the you tube video was extremely helpful, could not be happier with this product.

Your video gave me the confidence to do this myself. It was terrific! I successfully completed the installation in about 2 1/2 hours (took my time). Here are some suggestions:
- Follow the video exactly.
- Having a drill is great, but a socket wrench works fine. (Did not use the 5/32 Allen wrench that was listed as a necessary tool)
- Buy new drill bits unless you are sure yours are sharp
- Many comments discussed challenges of reinstalling the tailgate top or “cap”. Have all of the plastic connectors in the correct locations. You may need to give them a quick squeeze with pliers to position them. Tip: Look for thin “slots” on the inside top edge of the tailgate. When those, and the connectors, are lined up the “cap” goes right on.
The lock looks like it was factory installed. It works flawlessly.

Excellent value from a cost standpoint. Installation was very easy based on the video, not so much the written instructions that I started with. Fit and color match (white) is very good. Key mechanism is a little harder to operate that a typical door lock but that is perhaps expected given it is an aftermarket lock? Overall very happy to have a locking tailgate under my hard tonneau cover.

U tube instruction video was an excellent supplement along with the written
installation instructions. All tolled less than a hour to install.
No sharps, no flats, no problem.
Very pleased with the manual lock. Once tailgate is locked, it prevents access to the trunk even though the electric locks are open

Received my tailgate lock for my 09 honda ridgeline and had it installed in 30 minutes. The Youtube video describing the install in detail was awesome. Wish more companies would follow suit. Great product,everything worked perfectly.

Second, Looks good, I have ordered white color it looks like original lock since they are same colors.
Do not skip anything on manual, if you follow step by step you shouldn't have any problem. ***** stars

Lock # PAL6100 that you have referenced is one of the locks that will fit. All of the locks are the same with the only difference being the colors. There is black, # PAL6100, silver, # PAL6102, and white, # PAL6101.

After 1 year my Pop &Lock tailgate lock on my Honda Ridgeline continues to work perfectly. The added security for items in the truck bed is something we needed.
