Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we'll be taking a look at our best top spares tire covers. This comes in different shapes, and different sizes, and different colors. So make sure you check out our different product pages here at etrailer to find the best fit for you and your Jeep. So that spare tire behind your Jeep is not only there to look cool and sporty, but if anything happens to any of your tires, you're ready to switch 'em out real quick. So you wanna make sure that your spare tire is protected so that in case of an emergency, you're ready to go.
That's where a spare tire cover like this comes in handy. So we'll take a look at some of the different materials, some of the different measurements to see if this is gonna be the right fit for you and your adventures. We have some different color options for you, and that's important because they actually chose the color options to match the colors of your Jeep. So, what we have here is the black diamond version, but some other options for you could be a brown, which is called spice. You could also get this size black denim or black, again, check out our different options here at etrailer.
So, the size options of course depend on the size of the spare tire behind your Jeep or on your trailer, wherever you wanna re-use these covers. So the size I have here is 255, 7018 and I'm using the cover in extra large. We actually have the exact spare tire sizes on our product pages, it will help you match up which one works for you. Those can range from size small, all the way to the size extra, extra, extra large. The fabric itself is made of a mildew and UV resistant fabric, which is important when you're outside, you wanna make sure that UV resistance protect it from the sun, prevents it from coming apart.
Now, for that mildew resistance is even if it rains, even if it snows, you should be okay. There's this industrial strength threading, and that's what creates that custom fit better than just those universal fit covers that go around. Now, this also makes it important for making sure you get the right size for your wheel because of that fit. This has an elastic band which allows it to cinch around your tire. I actually left this on top, that way it's easier to see, but definitely have this underneath your wheel so that that rain and that water does not come in.
I wish it overlapped a little bit more, but again, if you have it underneath, that will still help out. This has a very tight fit around your tire though. So definitely something you keep in mind, it's tricky to get it over and back off of your tire, but with it off, let's take a closer look at the material on the inside. The backing is made of this cotton. So just a different material from the outside. The cotton is important because that's what's touching your tire. You wanna make sure it's nice and plush. Notice that does get dirty though, but that should be okay since it will be on the inside of your cover and not the outside. A quick comparison between our best top cover and a universal wheel cover is that there are some improvements when it comes to design. This one is a lot more custom fit, this just has an elastic that goes around, and on the inside you have that cotton versus the universal one which is a more rough texture. Now, this was easier to put onto our real tire compared to the best top version, but once they're on there, this definitely looks better than something that's universal. So my personal thoughts about this spare tire cover is it's ideal if you want those different size and color options. There is a more premium spare tire cover though that we offer here at etrailer. That's gonna be the rampage spare tire cover, that actually exactly matches the soft pop fabric of your Jeep and it's easier to put on, but you don't have as many color options as this, and you don't have as many size options either. So if you have a smaller tire or a larger tire than usual, this might be the best option for you since you still get those premium features with the cotton backing, the nice, strong exterior, as well as that custom elastic fit around your spare tire to protect it. This is a replacement for a 10-year old B6102801. Still in great shape, until it was ripped when the spare exploded. Bestop products have never disappointed, although they are not explosion-proof.
This tire cover was a gift. The quality was as described; it was delivered on time, and fit perfectly.

It worked so well and looked so good on my sons CRV that some ******* stole it.
this is my second spare tire cover, costs almost twice as much, but guess what, you really do get what you paid for, haven't installed it yet, but it's alot heavier than my old one, positive i'll be totally satisfied, these things take a beating, sun,wind, and constantly using it as a small work bench.
Tire cover is very good quality. Fits like a glove and sharp looking ,still looks brand new.
I used the chat function to get assistance with ordering the correct size. The Bestop Tire Cover was a perfect fit. The material is very durable and I expect it to last for a long time. I am using it on a gooseneck trailer and the spare tire is mounted over the hitch facing upwards. The cover will be exposed to countless hours of hot, Texas sun. eTrailer frequently sends customers a request for a 1 year follow-up review. If so, I will post an update.
Just installed this cover and found, expectedly, the fit was tight over the spare however I’m sure as the sun warms the cover it will stretch some and relax over the spare. I ordered the 9x29 inch cover which fit perfect over Wrangler 235/75r15 tire. As I look at it, I would certainly consider a logo or other decoration over the plain black cover. Since my goal was tire protection (not style) I’m happy with the fit and coverage. If I encounter any unusual fatigue or quality issues I will certainly let you know. The overall quality for this cover is consistent with the price point and design. Well done!!
Holding up good, excellent quality.
Took a while to get but etrailer did great at keeping me informed on the status of the backorder. Put this cover on a 205/75R14 spare tire. Cover fits snug and stayed on for the 1 trip I have taken. Doesn't fit as nice as the product picture, but will probably smooth out when the weather warms up.
Great cover, well made. Keep an eye on the elastic after a few years and replace as needed.
This Tire cover IS The BEST. Quality Is Great, Fit Is Perfect. I Bought This Cover To Use As A Base Cover For Another Cover That I Bought In Brazil That Did Not Fit. I Only Wanted The Design Panel On The Brazilian Cover. Took Both To a Tailor And Had The Brazilian Panel Sown Onto The The etrailer Ordered Cover. This Cover Is Heavy And Solid. I Strongly Recommend This Cover To Any One Wanting A Great Tire Cover. Price Is Very Good As Well.
Poor fit and elastic doesn't work. The dimensions are not accurate. Must fit before buying.
The spare tire cover was exactly what I was looking for. The quality and color are a good match to the completely restored International Scout II interior, where the spare tire is mounted.

I ordered a tire cover for my daughters 05' Jeep. This is the first time that a cover fit perfectrly the first time. With oversized tires includintg the spare, it's been hard to get one to fit right and look good. This one did both. 2nd one from etrailer. Spare is on roof of Class B camper. Hwy. speeds and wind buffetig have not lifted elastic @ corners of platform on which spare is anchored. LIke all fabrics, sunlight will, inevitably, take a toll on frabric.
ETRAILER is the best by far , best top is always a good product , this unit is the only one out there available for a big tire , my only dislike is that it has no security feature , so it will be stolen quickly as they always are here in wonderful southern ca .
This tire cover looks good and fits good. After one year it looks the same as new, but, the car stays in the garage 80 percent of the time. I am planning on mounting an auxiliary fuel can on the spare tire mount. I will have to cut a hole in the center of the tire cover and sew the cut edges. Hopefully this hole won't ruin the cover. Time will tell.
This is a good tire cover. It looks great and it holds up well in the weather and elements. I use mine to cover the spare tire on the back of my 2007 Rav4. The tire cover that I just ordered is to replace my previous one. My previous tire cover (also from etrailer.com) was so nice (even though it was old) that some jerk stole it off my car.

Your company is the only one that offered this product. I needed this uncommon size and wanted this specific color to compliment our 1997 Wrangler Sahara. Shipping was prompt. This spare tire cover is a replacement for the same item that was worn out as we tow our Jeep behind our motor home and the wind does cause damage and worn out elastic. Thank you.
Finally, a cover that fits well! I guess the third time is a charm. My tire is a Michelin LT225/75R16 and measures 29 inches in diameter and 9 inches in depth. The first two covers were sized for 225/75 tires, 29 inches in diameter and 9 inches in depth but were too small and didn't fit. Nicole, at etrailer, put up with me and got me a tire cover one size larger (30 by 10) and it fit perfectly. Thanks!

Still looks like new after a year, and the fit remains excellent.
