Making Sure the Cover Will Fit Your Tire
This spare tire cover is designed to fit 21-1/2" diameter assemblies with one of the following tire sizes:

- 6.90 x 9
Securing the Cover onto Your Spare Tire
Before installation, it's recommended to lay the cover in the sun for a few minutes. This will let the material expand slightly, so it'll fit over your tire more easily. Then using the built-in elastic hem, slip the pliable cover around your spare tire for a snug fit. The hem prevents the cover from flying off your tire as you're driving down the highway, and the soft interior lining won't damage your wheel's paint job.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the ADCO spare tire cover. They're available in white, black, diamond plate, camouflage, and US flag. You can find them in a wide variety of sizes to fit your spare tire. We've got one on our fifth wheel trailer here today, but you can also find one to fit your RV, camper, or SUV. It's made with a durable construction that's going to be resistant to the elements and UV rays. It's going to help protect your spare tire from dry rot while keeping it clean. The cover is cold cracked treated so it's perfect for winter use.
The drain here at the bottom prevents water buildup inside. The rear seam is elastic to ensure a snug fit. It's very easy to install. Be sure that the drain is at the bottom. We'll start at the top, then just work our way down along the side.
Once we get it entirely on then we can straighten it. That's going to complete our look at the ADCO spare tire covers.

Needed watertight spare cover for PWC trailer. Spare is mounted flat and didn't want water to pool & rust. This cover is heavy duty with a tight bungee for a snug fit and size accurately described on etrailer. Tight seams, very tough and camouflage hasn't faded. Nice! Great Deal! Good quality should last years. I like these compared the the white vinal ones that show the dirt, stains, and discolor from the sun with age.

Nice thick cover. I chose this one because all the others out there are thin and cheap looking. Paid a little more but I think it will last a lot longer . Looks great on my camper tire. The black trim is a nice touch. I really like it

Fitment of the tire cover is the best feature of the cover. Fits snug onto the tire and doesn't flap in the wind when driving down the road. Cleans up easily and looks like new.

The cover fits snugly over our spare, and I expect it to do a good job protecting it from UV damage and degredation. I suspect the printing may smudge and smear/or chip easily, but we'll see. You might think twice about getting a white tire cover if you are concerned about maintaining a pristine looking cover - During installation, I got some black smudges on the cover that were not so easy to remove.

- Thermoplastic Vs. Vinyl Spare Tire Covers The Adco Spare Tire Cover part # 290-8760 is indeed the correct size spare tire cover for your 5.30-12 tires. As you mentioned, it is constructed of a durable thermoplastic polymer. The reason for the thermoplastic as opposed to vinyl is because it is easier to print on than vinyl. It feels just like vinyl but is a bit smoother to the touch. I wouldn't really say one is glossier than the other. There shouldn't be an excessive noise with the cover. The Camo cover has definitely faded on the cover at the one year mark and pink is showing up. On the positive side fitment is still good.
