Today we're taking a look at the RCL legs for Rhino Rack crossbars and pioneer platforms. These are low profile legs that simply Mount Rhino Rack crossbars or a pioneer platform to your vehicle with fixed mounting points.Now this kit is available in a two pack, four pack, or six pack. All options are available at etrailer.com. Today I am showing you the four pack kit. You can pair these with crossbars or a pioneer platform and an RCP fit kit to create a complete roof rack system for your vehicle. Now if you're installing these on heavy duty crossbars, then spacer blocks are required for that installation.
Those spacer blocks are sold separately and available etrailer.com.Each foot has a locking cover to secure the roof rack to the vehicle. It comes with the included allen key to ensure that the legs are securely attached to your roof and it has the internal compartment. I'll show you that real quick. That is designed to house the allen key when it's not in use, so that way it's always on hand.When it comes to the construction we're looking at a UV and weather resistant glass reinforced nylon construction. It's very strong and durable and corrosion resistant.
Keys are included. And the leg height measures an inch and a half. It’s a good product. The only install issue I ran into is the drill bit I used (dewalt) for the front two holes on the hard top wasn’t long enough to work with the included drill stop and I ended up scratching the paint on the roll bars. I installed mine over the top of a carpet headliner with dynamat underneath. I did a “soft install” of the roof rack (used regular nuts instead of nylock, low torque, and no sealant), removed it, then put in the mat and headliner, then finished the roof rack install. Multiple cross country trips with my pioneer platform and no issues with excessive noise and no water leaks.
I have used the Rhino Rack backbone system on a previous Jeep and it worked well. Installation instructions were clear. Definitely recommend.

Really has come in handy as I installed this over my truck bed on top of a retractable bed cover that came with T -tracks. I can load the truck bed with smaller items and use the roof racks to hold a Thule box or just strap on heavy and larger items. Great product.

It took me about three hours to install, by myself. Not a hard install. Just follow the instructions and, the etrailer installation video was very helpful also.
Platform racks are the best in the market I think. I'm removing my Platform rack from my 2007 Jeep Sahara JKU and installing it to my 2021 Rubicon JLU. That shows my love and devotion for this very durable and such a beauty to look at system. Had this rack on close to 5 years and still looks amazing. I'm not installing this rack anytime soon. Just wanted to make sure I have the Backbone system for my new JLU when the time comes. Pic of my red JKU with rack attached. Hopefully I can update with my black JLU pics later.

These allow you to attach the quick release RLT600 series Feet directly to the Pioneer Tray. They fit perfectly!
