Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the K-Source replacement side view mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for the driver's side mirror on your 2004 through 2006 Lexus RX 330, as well as the 2007 through 2009 Lexus RX 350 and your 2006 to 2008 Lexus RX 400H. This is modeled after your Lexus's original look and fit so you're really not going to be able to tell that it's a replacement mirror, it's going to look like it came with your vehicle right from the factory. So you don't have to worry about having the pieced together from junkyard parts kind of look going. It'll blend right in, look like it was with your vehicle all along.It does have the power remote capability so you can adjust the mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your Lexus.

It also has the heated mirror glass capability, so it can clear away the frost and ice on those chilly mornings and days and help reduce the fogging that sometimes happens when it's cold outside. Keep in mind, those two functions, the power remote capability and the heated mirror glass, will only work if your vehicle is already capable of doing those things. So if your original mirror could do it, this mirror will as well but it's not going to add those capabilities to a vehicle that doesn't already have that capability to it.This does have the OE grade product so it's going to be the same quality materials as your original. The front of the glass is plated with reflective chrome so you're going to get a nice, clear image. It is a flat lens like most of your driver's side mirrors so it's going to give you a true representation of the object size, you're not going to have to worry about distortion or anything like that.

It does have the breakaway design. So if you we're to say hit the side of your garage or hit a parking post or something like that, the mirror is going to fold in on itself to try and help absorb some of that impact to reduce the amount of damage to the mirror. It does have a durable plastic housing with a black finish. This can be painted if you want, if that would make it integrate better into the look of your vehicle but it is a nice, shiny plastic black look so I think it's going to look nice either way.As far as the installation, it's going to be extremely simple. You're not going to have to drill any new holes or anything like that.

It's going to use the same plug as your original for the factory power controls and heated mirror glass so you just plug that right in a where you unplug your original. And then the same thing with the mounting points, just take your old mirror off, put this one in its place and you're ready to go. Very simple to do and because it is modeled after the original one, it's going to all fit together nicely.Now for those of you who do need a little bit more reassurance that this is going to be the mirror that you need, if you look in owner's manual or you see the number on the screen there on your original mirror, you can trust this is the replacement that you need, it's going to be an exact replacement for that original equipment number there.
