Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this K-Source replacement side mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for the driver's side factory mirror on your 2008 through 2017 Chevrolet Express van as well as your 2008 through 2021 GMC Savannah van. This is modeled after both the Chevrolet and GMC's original look and fit. So, you really shouldn't be able to tell that this is a replacement mirror it should look like it came with your van right from the factory. So, it will do a good job of blending in, giving you that finished look, rather than that, like pieced together from the junkyard kind of look that you might have if you went with a different kind of mirror.

So, because this is modeled after the original fit it's going to be very easy to get installed. It's going to have the same footprint as the original. So, don't have to worry about drilling new holes or anything like that. Basically, just take your old mirror off put this one in its place, and you're ready to go. All the hardware that you're going to need is included.

So, it's very easy to switch this out yourself. You don't need to pay someone else to do it for you. This is an OEM grade product. So, it's going to have the same quality materials as your original mirror. The glass is a chrome plated glass.

So, it's going to give you a nice clear image. It is a flat lens up top here. So, it's going to give you a true representation of object's size. That glass is a manual adjustment so you can get your line of sight, correct. Let's make sure you can see what's coming up behind you if you're backing up or if you're switching lanes make sure that you're going to be safe.

Then they also have this built-in spotter mirror. That's going to minimize your blind spots. It's kind of good to be a more wide angle view so that you can, again ensure that even around your bigger van you're going to be able to see what's coming up so that you can change lanes safely and that sort of thing. This does have a breakaway design. So, if you we're pulling into a tight parking spot you hit a parking post or the side of the garage, something like that. The mirror is going to fold in on itself to try and help absorb some of that shock and minimize any damage done to the mirror itself. But, it does have a nice durable plastic housing with a textured black finish. So, it should hold up to a little bit of abuse and wear and tear should do a good job of lasting for you. And for those of you who do need a little bit more reassurance that this is going to work for you this is going to be a replacement for the original equipment number that you see on the screen there. So, when you're taking your original mirror off you see that number, or if you're going through your owner's manual and that number comes up, you can trust this is going to be the replacement that you need. And this is just the driver's side mirror. We also have the passenger side available for your Express van and Savannah van. If you are needing one or both, you can use that part number to find the passenger side as well. So, overall it's going to be a really easy replacement for you if you are needed the driver's side mirror for your van replaced, very easy to do it yourself.
