Today, we're going to be taking a look at the RhinoFLEX RV Sewer Hose. Now this sewer hose lets you drain your RV's black water tank at a dump station. It's going to feature heavy duty, polyolefin construction. That's going to minimize the risk of pinholes and leaks caused by everyday use and transport. It's going to feature 23 mils of polyolefin. That's going to stand up to the toughest conditions.
It's a really nice, easy-to-use design. It's going to feature a steel wire core that offers the strength of steel and the convenience of collapsible storage. The hose itself, when fully extended out will measure about 10' long. Then it compresses to about 32" long for easy, compact storage. Now one of the neat things about this type of hose is it's designed to maintain or retain its shape once it's set until unhooked and stored. That way, what's really nice.
too, is you only need to extend the amount or area of the hose that you need for your application. The unit is designed to fit 3" diameter hose fittings, which will be all standard sewer hose fittings, and again, overall, really nice design. Excellent hose material. Excellent fittings (as far as lock-up and durability). For years I have had the clear 45 degree and 90 degree adapters and they are holding up well.
What I find a bit frustrating is that given the hose material, it would not seal to the coupler fittings without dripping. Not a big deal with gray water but a hard NO for black water. Never ran into that issue with the more traditional, cheaper hoses which I suspect is because the material is thinner and more flexible and conforms easier to the plastic threads of the coupler fitting.
Tried a couple of things to seal it up with the last one being to use silicone sealant between the hose and fitting. I happened to use clear because that is what I had on hand. Problem solved.
This is a spare for my original factory hose and I haven't used it to date. I intend to use it as an extension or replacement in the future. Impressed with the ply and heavy duty feel and will try it out on my next camping trip.

Sewer hose works great! I wish it would still fit in the bumper of my new trailer! Had to buy a tube to hang on the trailer bumper to store the hose. That tube was a pain in the butt to install, and it doesn't close very well. But the sewer hose? Yeah, it's fine.
all the hoses and fittings I have are RhinoFlex. The o-rings leak on several of them. I use dielectric waterproof grease to seal them.
Quality product. Excellent service. Swivel fitting made it possible to store hose in my bumper compartment. A solid elbow would not allow fit in the compartment without removal of the elbow. I would highly recommend this product.
The first hose I received leaked from one end to the other. It looked like a manufacturing defect where water (and other stuff) was leaking out between the overlapping seams. There were dozens of little streams squirting out in all directions.
eTrailer sent me a replacement hose, and it is completely water tight. I really like the fact that the RhinoFLEX hose can be adjusted for length by snapping the corregations closed. This makes the hose stay on top of the Sidewinder hose support instead of drooping down or rolling off the side. The swivel fittings and locking elbow end make for a solid connection that doesn't leak when the tanks are dumped.
Overall, the products have held up well. That would be the brass fittings. The hoses were not as durable and I have replaced all the fittings with better ones. The filter works well and I am really happy with it. Reminds me, need to clean the sediment filter.
I give etrailer an A- and would recommend them to my friends and family.

I’ve recently been dumping my own LQ trailer. I’ve never had to do it before so it was a learning curve. Fortunately, I haven’t got a drop on me. The only reason I gave it 4 stars, is because i have small hands, so its makes it difficult for me to attach the it and remove it. I always say a prayer before I attach it and remove it. It would be pretty embarrassing if I wasn’t able to remove the hose after dumping. It’s not a product error, it’s an operator error, lol!
This is a tuff elbow. Mine came with clear plastic but was pictured with white plastic online so that was a bonus. Both ends swivel but have quite a bit of resistance when turning. Seals are good and locks on tight. I recommend
The products we ordered (RhinoFLEX RV Sewer Hose and Ventline Ventadome Roof Vent were both high quality products. My husband installed the Roof Vent without any problems. One recommendation would be to let the buyer know that the hardware (screws) were not included in the purchase. We have yet to use the Sewer Hose but its quality is unmistakable! We are new to the RV world so I'm sure you will be hearing from us again! Thank you!
Unlike other hoses I've had, this one, whether expanded or stretched, does not put tension on the fittings. I've seen other hoses develop leaks after just two years of light use. Rhinos that I bought about the same time are still going strong.
Works perfect with my standard length hose when I just need a few more feet to make it to the dump hole.

No issues . . . But make sure you get (Replacement) O-Rings! "Gaskets" (not included)
They dry out and leak at the connections, (Not Nice, when it happens) and wont stop until you have changed them out.
Used it the first day I got it. flawless operation. Flex hose threaded on easily and locked without any problems. Threaded into campground fitting easily. A spanner wrench may be needed to remove the downspout from the campground fitting. It all depends on how tightly you screw it in. No leaks
This works as expected. Only downfall is it is made so that it fits very tightly into the bumper tube making it most times extremely difficult to get out. Purchased from etrailer.com and their shipping was fast!!
