Video Transcript for WeatherTech Rear Mud Flaps Installation - 2003 Ford F-250

Today, on this 2003 Ford F250 Super Duty, we're going to show you part number WT120001. This is Weather-tech Mud Flaps, inaudible 00:00:11 tires and wheels. A few things to know about it, these are constructed from high quality thermal plastic resin, which do hold their shape really nice but they are flexible in case something hits it. These are designed to fit the exact truck. As you can see it matches the contour of the fender wheel all the way up. I use the existing fasteners or it comes with new hardware as needed. There is no drilling required.

Now I know what it looks like. Let's go ahead and show how they install. They're very easy. First off, our truck happens to have the original pair of mud flaps on here. They have since seen better days. Go ahead and remove them.

It looks like there's 1, 2, 3 screws to remove. First we want to get our mud flap ready. Notice the little tap right here. We need to make sure it stays over to the unlocked position. There's 2 on the back here. Then we'll go ahead and hold the mud flap up to the truck as tight as possible.

Then we'll use the included tool to tighten down these screws. These little tabs will move back to lock position and clamp against the metal of the truck. Then we're going to simply just clamp them down, just enough to get some grip. inaudible 00:01:31 top ones to a lower one. Okay. This hole here should line up with the existing hole in the truck bed.

We get a new stainless steel fastener for that. You simply push it through and on the other side, we'll get the flange nut. This will grip the steel on the outside and what I'll do is tighten the screws from the outside. Okay. It looks like they're tightened down. We'll go ahead and double check these 2 and we'll be good to go. We don't have to get these guys super tight. Just enough to be snug. Make sure you've got them tight enough, because we're moving the sheet metal. All right, with your mud flaps installed, we're ready to go. Now finishing for part number WT 120001, Weather-tech mud flaps on our 2003 Ford F250 Super Duty. .

Overall I would say these are excellent, easy to install, all though I had a little trouble, screws could be longer so you can "catch" the body sheet metal. Wouldn't hurt if they were another 4" longer, but they're not bad by any means.
Wasn't too clear on ordering, could use some pictures to help you determine right product.

I am very disappointed with the Weather Tech mudflaps, not because it took forever for them to be delivered (though it did -I was not told by e-trailer that they weren't in stock the day I ordered them), but by the fact when they were finally delivered, they were missing instructions (front mudflaps) and parts (rear mudflap was missing the center screw to the lock; the lock was found loose in the bag. I had to go to home depot to try and find the errant screw - i was not about to send them back and wait some more).
I have a lot of weather tech products on all 4 of our cars as well as full front and rear mats in the truck, and have never had a problem like this before. Both irritating, disappointing and requiring an additional cost of money and time to rectify).
The etrailer packing was excellent, and once i collected all the necessary parts / instructions and figured out how to re-assemble the loose lock, the installation proceeded in an orderly manner though taking longer than anticipated based upon the etrailer video. The quality of the actual flaps looks to be excellent and they look good on the truck. If there had been some visible quality control initially upon opening the packages, I would have given them 5 stars. Unfortunately that is not how it played out.

by:

Just like the description says...easy install, no drill, digital fit. Looks like they came with the truck. Highly recommend.

Did not fit well on the 2022 Dodge Ram 3500. The rear flaps did not quite fit the OEM fender flares on the vehicle. Too tight - not enough clearance to sit nicely against the flares. There was also no hole for the trim fastener so had to drill a 1/4" hole for little plastic fastener - not a big deal. Hoping the front ones fit better, but they were worse. Same story - the "digital fit" flaps did not fit the OEM fender flares. Tried a heat gun to hopefully warm the flap and maybe get them to fit together better, but couldn't quite get it. I'll need to get some longer fasteners, otherwise one bolt and the little plastic tab are all thats holding it on. Maybe if the weather warms a bit...? Def not as advertised.

Mud flaps were easy to install and fit great on my 2023 Tundra Hybrid Max

by:

Look great! Look OEM. Wish all the hardware was black. And in the front the two screws you pull out both sides, trash go get something a little longer and more girth. etrailer was great the arrived earlier then expected.

by:

Well designed and fit just right. Look great and seem to be made from durable material. Installation was straight forward and easy.

by:

Fantastic product. Very easy installation. High quality. Very fast delivery! Etrailer is the best as always!

by:

holes did not line up with pre existing holes on car
for installation. Very hard
to install. will NOT buy weathertec again

by:

These mud flaps are great! Good Instructions and install went quickly. They look really good and should perform well, protecting the rocker panels and the side steps from mud and stones. Very pricey but good quality. Front Pair.

by:

This is a good investment. First, etrailer is a great place to get what you need for supplies! The weathertech mud flaps are a great addition to a raised F-250 with larger tires that pulls. This will provide the rest of the protection I need as well as cut down on debris that the tires throw up at other cars/trucks. Very easy to install and if I want to remove them then I have all the pieces necessary except for the push grommets which I can get anywhere. I think I will leave them on for a while....not bad looking either.

by:

I was apprehensive about buying these as the weather tech company said they would not fit. My vehicle has power running boards and 22” wheels..I researched forums and took a chance. They fit…no problem. See attached photos and video.
Thanks

Delivered timely and installed easily. Great product.

by:

For someone who is "old school" and reluctant to install plastic onto a machine, I'm impressed with the ease of installation and durability so far. I've put about 7500 miles on them without an issue. And thanks to Etrailer for carrying great products and providing great info to consumers. You folks have a great Business model!

by:

Took a little effort to get it to match up with the plastic wheel well fender flares but once I did I have not had any issues. Looks somewhat subtle but is pretty effective at stopping thrown debris onto the paint.

by:

Great service item was shipped and received quickly. Mud flaps were easy to install.

by:

I ordered Weather Tech mud flaps for my GMC Sierra 1500. The front flaps were easy to install by using existing fasteners installed on the truck by GMC. The rear flaps were slightly more challenging requiring the placement of clamps (integral to the flaps) on the rear fender. The entire installation of all flaps required about 45 minutes. they look great and they will protect my fenders from being damaged by road debris.

by:

Great product, easy to install, I didn't find the instructions, but was easy to figure out. I would recommend this product

by:

Seems like a solid product. Made in the USA. The instructions were a bit off. So I jumped on the etrailer YouTube account, found the install video. Issue solved. I will say I'm more impressed with etrailer than weathertech. However, nice fit and finish. I would recommend this product.

by:

I ordered a set of weathertech no drill mud flaps for my new 2022 Colorado and they fit great and easy to install. Well after a couple of weeks I put on GM flares so I had to order another set for flares. Same thing excellent fit and easy install. Quick shipping and good service.

by:

East install on 2023 Thor Compass 23te Motorhome. Fit perfectly. Place some tape on a open end wrench to hole the nut on and you are good to go.

by:

Good quality. Arrived quickly
Easy
to install.

  • Weather Tech Mudflap Recommendation for a 2006 Ford F350 Non-Dually
The WeatherTech Mud Flaps # WT120001 that you referenced are designed to fit the non-dually models of the 1999 Ford F-250 or F-350 without fender flares. If that is what you have these would work well for you. If you did have a dually you would want # WT110001 instead.

  • Rear Mud Flap Recommendation for a 2003 F350 King Ranch
The Husky Liners Custom Molded Mud Flaps # HL57581 that you mentioned above is considered a fit for the rear position mud flap. Please note these are designed to be used only if your truck does not have dual rear wheels, but does have a factory installed add-on fender flares. However, if your truck does not have rear dual wheels and does not have a factory installed add-on fender then I would recommend the # WT120001 for use as a rear mud flap. If your truck does have dual rear wheels...
