Today we're taking a look at the Furion Marine Power Cord Adapter. This pigtail adapter attaches to your boat's 30-amp inlet to get a plug for attaching a 20-amp extension cord. So, we have the female plug which connects to the 30-amp power inlet on your boat, and then the male plug connects to a 20-amp extension cord that can be run to an electrical hookup. We do have a 90-degree female connector which reduces the amount of strain placed on the cord and allows for easier connecting in tight spaces. It has the nice pull smart handle on there, so it allows you to safely and easily disconnect. This end features a 20-amp locking male plug, and the male plug end has side grips for easy user-friendly connection.
It is a heavy-duty marine grade construction. It's a universal fit with all of the brands. Black in color. Has a nice thermoplastic vinyl insulation. Amperage is 30 amps. Voltage is 125 volts.
When it comes to the wiring internally, that's 10-gauge wiring, and it is STW wiring so that's just a general code that really is a classification of thermoplastic. The plugs are made to NEMA standards. I did take a few measurements for you. I measured this cord area between the plugs. That measures about 12 inches long, and from the end of this plug to this point here so the end but not including the prongs, is about 20-1/4" long.
That's going to do it for today's look at the Furion Marine Power Cord Adapter.
