Today we're going to be taking a look at the Bulldog linet ring for adjustable channel brackets. You can mount this zinc plated linet ring coupler in the adjustable channel bracket on your trailer to get a strong durable attachment point for your pintle hitch. Weld on channel bracket and mounting hardware are sold separately. The linet ring is designed for use with pintle hitches. It's made from a sturdy steel construction, nice strong durable design. It's a one piece design, that means no welds or weak points.
It's going to have a 14,000 pound max capacity, and it's going to have a clear zinc finish, which is going to do a great job at protecting the unit from rusting corrosion for a long time. A few measurements I want to go over with you real quick. We're going to start with that inner diameter. That's going to give us a measurement of right around 3 inches, from outer edge to outer edge you're going to measure about 6 inches. The width back here, this is the portion that fits into the channel bracket at the widest point, which is here in the center is going to be about 2 15/16 of an inch. Up here is going to be about 2 7/8 of an inch.
This is going to work perfect for channel brackets with a usable space of 3 inches. The mount holes on the unit, these are going to be separated on center apart from one another by right now 2 inches, and those are going to have a diameter of right at 5/8 of an inch. That's going to do it for today's look at the Bulldog linet ring for adjustable channel brackets.

Very solid hitch! No worries with this ring.
Went from from regular 2 5/8" ball hitch to the Luna ring so it was adaptable to more truck hitches.

- Approximate Dimension of Channel Mount Lunette Ring From Mounting Holes to Back of MountSo there isn't a standard for the dimension from the mounting holes of a lunette ring to the back of the mount; the reason for that is different manufacturers have slightly different thickness tolerances and design styles - a Bulldog like part # BD1291020340 is a little different than the Titan # T1613700, for example. view full answer... - Determining if Bulldog Lunette Ring has High Enough Capacity for USGI Trailer As you mentioned in your question, both the Bulldog Lunette Ring # BD1291010383 and the Zinc Model # BD1291020340 feature a towing capacity of 14,000 pounds. As long as the loaded weight of your USGI trailer does not exceed this number (which it certainly does not appear that it will), this lunette ring will work great. Based on the specs for the M101A2 trailer, this should give you plenty of safety margin as well. I have attached a couple short video demonstrations on these products...

After using this Luna Ring hitch for a year now, it works very well. Being used to using a standard ball hitch, it took some getting used to the loser feel of the ring, but it’s just an adjustment to get used to. Absolutely no problems and no worries with the strength and better versatility of the Luna Ring hitch!
