Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the CURT custom fit fifth wheel installation kit with the dark gray base rails for the Chevrolet and GMC trucks. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2007 to 2019 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks with either the 6-1/2 foot bed or the eight foot bed. Now, this kit here is a complete installation kit allows you to install a fifth wheel to your truck bed.

The kit will include everything shown here on the table, the custom fit side mounting brackets, all your base rails, all the hardware you need for installation, even comes with a set of instructions that'll describe the detail how this all goes together. And they even give you a bracket to relocate your brake line. Now, the side mounting brackets we're gonna zoom in on, these are custom fit brackets as you can see. They're designed to mount beneath your truck bed and they provide the attachment points for your fifth wheel rails. They do have a nice black powder coat finish on them to resist corrosion.

And if you look at those brackets, you'll be able to see all the holes that are in here. This will provide a custom fit because it'll mount to the existing holes in your vehicle's frame. The holes on these brackets will line up with the holes on your frame so it'll minimize the amount of drilling that's required which means it'll cut the installation time in half when compared with the universal bracket kits that are out there. Now, these base rails right here, these will sit in your truck bed. They allow installation of the fifth wheel trailer hitch to your vehicle.
