Installation
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the center of your rear bumper.
Once installation is complete, the 7-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 7-way connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Watched the video provided by ETRAILER then went to work on it the next afternoon. Everything needed for the install was in the box. Used the wife's small hands to put the bolts in and start the nuts for me while I held the hitch in place. If I didn't have visitors stop in to see the new foals in the pasture, I would have had the job done in under the time hours the video said it would take. The wife was happy that I didn't break or scatch anything. Thank you ETRAILER for the assistance ahead of the install. Made the job go very smoothly.
Easy to install literally only 30 minutes start to finish.

Best part Hyundia still has recall on its harness. After market is great no problems no fire.
Be careful with etrailer.com. The website tends to recommend more expensive products you may not need. I'm a newbie to towing and ignorantly bought this wiring harness reccomended for my 2023 Santa Cruz. I could have saved myself $[XX] and bought a standard 4-pin harness. Now I'm out $[XX] to ship back the 7-pin connector I really don't need.
Hitch fit great but the wiring harness didn't come with a mounting bracket for the 7-way connector plug
This, combined with Item #e45ZR and Item #HM40975-11998, worked great to add both a 4 way and a 7 way harness to my 2021 Kia Telluride. I only used the harness from this kit, not the socket.
Correct part the first time
Wiring connected and worked great. Easy to install. Just wish they would put bracket for plug in kit.
Worked perfectly on my Hyundai palisade
For some reason the wire harness failed after only 2 months so I had to buy another .

No one wants a harness to fail in the few first months. Next time please give us a call as the harness did have one year warranty. We are happy to trouble shoot with you too.
