Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the AceCamp Camping Lantern. This helps to give you a light to read by in your tent, maybe do some later at night cooking, just be that light all around your campsite and help you to see what's going on. The nice thing about this is that it is a weather resistant camping lantern, and it also comes with the batteries to get you started right off the bat.So let's take a look at how bright it is, does have four different settings. So this will be high, medium, low, and then it has a strobe. So I'll turn it back on and the studio lights out so you can see just how bright this is and get a little bit closer as well. So this is really not going to be the brightest light out there.

It has about 36 lumen rating, so really more of kind of a nightlight I'd say than a reading light, or really have to be just for one person to read by.So again, we'll have our different settings. That's going to be high, medium, low, and then the strobe. As far as the other specs with this, it does have 36 diodes, which are located in this top portion it has designed to help spread out the lights. It's kind of hard for you guys to see, but it did cast the light and kind of a ring around, and it does give you some light to illuminate a small area, like a tent or something like that it'd probably do okay.Has handles up at the top. We can adjust these pretty much anywhere we want.

So you can hold them together like this as a handle, hang it in the middle of your tent from a hook, or against a wall if you're in a cabin or something like that.The base will allow us to get access to our batteries. Again, it comes with the three D batteries that it needs to power up. So slide out this little canister in here, batteries are already in there. You just need to match up the arrow on the side with the arrow on the slot inside there to make sure that it's going the right way. Put that down.There is a little rubber grommet there to help keep that watertight.

So I would say this is something that you can take through the rain. Maybe not a super torrential downpour, but it should do fine in a shower for a while. You just really don't want to submerge it because I doubt that that canister would be able to withstand much being submerged in water. But if you happen to drop it in a puddle, it's probably going to be okay. So just weather resistant rather than waterproof.As far as the overall size, stands about eight and a half inches tall by about three and a half inches in diameter roughly, trying to find the widest point here, maybe four inches if we go from corner-to-corner on the hooks there.

Weighs about two pounds almost, about a pound and three, quarters with the batteries in place.That about does it for our look at the AceCamp Camping Lantern.
