Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this Jif Marine aluminum Transom support plate for a V8 motor. Now this transom plate will add extra support. Helps balance and distribute the weight of your boat's V8 motor. And it will also reduce the stress on the boat's transom. This piece is a die-cast aluminum alloy.
It's very sturdy and resists corrosion. It is a bolt on installation. You can see the four pre-drilled holes right here, how the mounting hardware to install them is not included. Last thing I want to do is just give you some dimensions on this plate.Overall length from one end to the other is right at 15 and one eighth inches long. The width of it is going to be right at three and a half inches wide.
And the thickness of it is only about three eighths of an inch. Now the mounting holes themselves, if we measure those center to center, you can see length wise is 12 and seven eighths inches. And then width wise center to center is one and a half inch. But that should do it for the review on the Jif Marine Aluminum Transom support plate for the V8 motor.
