Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we'll take a look at this Surface Mount Waterproof Eon LED Boat Accent Light with the Jade LEDs. Now this is an LED light that'll provide a nice bright Jade light for your boat. These are great for upgrading or replacing your accent step, walkway or underwater lighting. Light output on this light is 150 Lumens. Now, at the end of this video, I am going to hook this up to some 12 volt power, just so you can see how bright the light is and the color of the light.
First, I want to go through a few features on it. This offers a sealed waterproof housing and lens unit, which is submersible. Has an IP 68 rating, which means it's resistant to submersion up to a maximum depth of five feet underwater for up to about 30 minutes. This does use a military grade construction of a circuit board, uses a urethane potting, which gives you better protection than the common epoxy potting. And the LEDs on this, they are premium LEDs.
They are energy efficient, long lasting, vibration resistant. They are rated for up to 50,000 hours of operation. And if you notice it's a durable polycarbonate housing with a UV resistant lens, and it is a clear lens over three Jade LEDs. This is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. And to install this, it is a Surface Mount installation that is recommended to use the vertical or horizontal mounting covers that we do sell separately on our website.
And they are listed on this product's product page as a related product, but basically how it's mounted will also determined the type of beam, light beam that it gives off. If it's mounted horizontally like this, it gives off a 90 degree beam. If it happens to be mounted vertical like this, it'll give off a 70 degree beam. Now the mounting hardware is not included. Now this light will hard-wire your application.
It is a two wire design. You can see it has a power wire and a ground wire, and it gives you a wire length of about 36 inches. A few specs on this light, the input voltage nine volts to 14 volts. Power draw is 0.11 to 0.15 amps. Last thing I'm gonna do is measure the light for you, and then we're going to hook it up to some power. So the length of this is 2 and 1/8 inches long. Total width is 5/8 of an inch. Total depth is also 5/8 of an inch. So again, what we're going to do, is I'm going to hook this up to sort of power. Once we get it hooked up, go ahead and turn on our 12 volt power. And you can see with the power on there's the Jade lights. I'm going to go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and you can see how the Jade gives off a nice green type color, very bright light. What I am going to do is zoom back out just so you can see a range of how much light this does give off for three LEDs. Go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights. I'll go ahead and turn off our power. But that should do it for the review on the Surface Mount Waterproof EON LED Boat Accent Light with the Jade LEDs..

The covers don't match the lights. I was told they were the right ones.
