Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this TecNiq Eon waterproof orange LED boat accent light. Now, this LED light will provide a nice, bright orange light for your boat. So, this is great for upgrading or replacing your accent lighting, your step lighting, walkway, or underwater lighting. This is a nice, sealed, waterproof housing and lens unit.

Has an IP 68 rating. And it's a durable polycarbonate housing with a nice UV resistant lens. Now, this light is a clear lens over three orange LEDs. Now, at the end of this video, I am going to connect this light to some 12 volt power just to show you how bright the light is and the color of the orange. But first, I wanna go over some of the features of the light.

They do use premium LEDs, which are energy efficient, long-lasting and vibration resistant. They are rated for up to 50,000 hours of operation. And on this light, they do use military grade construction of the circuit board, which means they use a urethane potting which offers better protection than the common epoxy potting. This light is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. Now, to mount this, it is a surface mount design.

It will mount using a protective horizontal or vertical mounting cover that we do sell separately on our website, and they are listed on this product page as a related product. Now, the hardware to install those mounting covers is not included. It just requires two screws to mount them. But basically, the vertical mounting cover, if this light is installed in that, it'll mount it vertically. It will emit a 70 degree beam.

If it mounts into the horizontal cover, which would mount it horizontally, it emits a 90 degree beam. Now, this does hardwire to your application. There's two wires here, a power and a ground. The wire length is about 36 inches. Give you dimensions on this light. The length of it is right at 2 1/8 inches. Height of it is only 5/8 of an inch tall. And the depth of it is 5/8 of an inch deep. Light output's 150 lumens. Input voltage, nine volts to 14 volts. And what we're gonna do is go ahead and hook this up to some 12 volt power. Once I get it hooked up, we'll go ahead and turn on the power. And once the power comes on, you can see there's the three orange LEDs. I'm gonna go ahead and turn off the overhead light. And just to show you there's how bright they are. 150 lumens is the light output. Lights up a pretty large area. Gonna zoom out just so you can show you from a distance the area it's lighting up. And then we'll zoom back in. Go ahead and turn back on overhead lights. And we'll go ahead and turn off our power.
