I spoke with my contact at Thule and when I described your situation she said that it sounds like you have the older style Sidearm and need a few parts so that you could convert it to the newer style. Replacement Straps and End Cap for a Thule Roadway Bike Rack TH912
You definitely have T3 cradles on your Thule bike rack, the correct replacement strap would be the Replacement Rubber Strap for Thule T3 Bike Carrier Cradles # 753-3535. I confirmed this with my rep at Thule. The replacement end cap that you would need would be the Replacement Tube Cap # 853-1477-04. This does not come with the set screw, but it will be available on our site very soon. It's part number will be # 853-5753.

We have replacement round end cap # 853-2181 for Thule bike racks that have round tube arms. It fits 1-inch diameter arms. It has the hole at the bottom for the screw to hold it to the end of the rack arm.
