Ellen: Hey everybody, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the socket assembly for your Tiger Shark Winch from Superwinch. So this is a replacement part to replace out what you already had with that Tiger Shark Winch. Something happened to that socket, went bad. Maybe one of the pins got bent up and damaged. This is going to be that replacement part to get you rolling again. It is a direct replacement part from the manufacturer, so it should match up exactly with what you had before. So, we'll have our three prong plug to allow us to use the remote control from the Tiger Shark winch.
So this works with a couple of different part numbers. Those are all listed out on the product page here atetrailer.com.We'll have the three wire connections to make, to make sure that everything is connected up properly. Also, has the cap to protect our socket from any water or debris getting in there and causing any issues or corrosion. It does not come with mounting hardware, so you will need to either reuse your old hardware or pick up some new. Give you a couple of measurements just to be sure that this is the right fit for you.So for our mounting holes, it looks like they're about 3/16" in diameter. So you want to get something there to fit that.
The thickness of this plate with the little grommet for our cap, that's about a quarter of an inch thick. So you just want to make sure that whatever you are using is at least longer than that to go through this and then the place where this is going to be mounted. The width of our switch is roughly 2" apart or maybe 2-1/4", and then about 2-1/2" deep. We'll have about 10 inches of wire to work with. That's about all there is to it for our look at the replacement socket assembly for your Superwinch Tiger Shark Winch. I hope this has been helpful in deciding if this is the right part for you. We do have a lot of replacement parts available here at etrailer.com, but also a lot of winching accessories in general and all kinds of good stuff, so check it out. Thanks for watching..
