Today we're going to take a look at the Pro Series 16K Fifth Wheel Head Assembly Head Support and Handle Kit. Now this is an economy fifth wheel hitch that doesn't act like one. This Pro Series hitch will offer you features only found in a lot of the larger units. This does install and remove very easily for full bed access. And this part number will include everything shown here, includes the head assembly, the head support that it's sitting in, the handle kit with the padlock to lock this, the pins and clips .. Or, I'm sorry, the bolts right here, the hardware to install this head to the fifth wheel legs, and then the pins and clips over here to install the complete hitch to your base rails.Now this head uses a rounded slide bar, single draw system, which will automatically latch around the trailer kingpin.

Offers improved load management and ride, when compared with similar models. And the head itself is a four way pivoting head, helps us trailer hook-up. You can see front to rear movement and then the skid plate goes side-to-side, so it ensures easy trailer hookup even on uneven ground. The opening at the front here is a wide 5 3/4" measurement, so it helps you when you line up your king pin to install it. It does use this cushion grip handle on here, provides comfortable jaw operation.

Allows you to pull it open, release it to close it.There is a tab right here that has a hole in it. This tab, when it locks closed, we'll line up with a tab that's on the head itself, and you can use your padlock and put it through there to lock it into place, so nobody can remove the fifth wheel from your hitch.Does offer adjustable hitchhike. Let me sort of move this a little bit and you can see over here it has the adjustable hitchhikes, will allow allow for accurate match to your specific trailer's height for level towing. Has four rows of holes you can see here on the head support. So when you use your bolts to bolt this to the fifth wheel legs, you can put it in the right height you need for your application.Now to install this into your truck, it does require to bolt this head support to either fixed legs or slider legs, depending on your application to be able to install this into the base rails of your vehicle.

Gross towing weight capacity again is 16,000 pounds. And what I want to do is demonstrate how the hitch head works, so I've got an example here of a king pin, What a king pin would be like.What you'll first want to do is open your handle. When you pull it all the way out, and then move it towards the cab, it'll hold the handle open in the open position, and you're ready to attach to your fifth wheel. So you're king pin on your fifth wheel would slide in here, push up against the slide bar, and it'll release the sidebar and then the handle will come all the way across to lock it into place, and then you'll notice the handle and the holes line up. So then to secure it, all you have to do is take your padlock, open it up, drop it through the two holes, lock it.
