Extensive Testing
InfiniteRule products undergo extensive third-party testing to determine shear strength. The shear strength is determined by placing the locking pin in a stress position and subjecting it to increasing force until a required proof load (maximum force received without deformity) is met or the pin fails. These locks have a shear strength of 42,000 lbs.
Installation
The 3 locking pins included with this set are interchangeable. Use one pin as a hitch lock to secure your Blue Ox adjustable ball mount to your hitch. The additional pins are used to secure your ball mount platform to the ball mount.

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at these InfiniteRule locking pins. These are a flush style five eight inch diameter locking pin set that's going to replace your standard pins for the Blue Ox adjustable ball mount for three inch hitches. You're going to have two pins to secure the ball platform. Two, the ball mount and then one pin to secure the ball mount shank to your hitch receiver. These are made here in the USA of a heavy duty rust resistant stainless steel construction.
They have been third party tested to have a sheer strength of 42,000 pounds. We do have the three keys here, but they are all keyed alike. So you will just be able to use one key to unlock all three pins if you need to. And you'll have a couple of backups just in case you we're to ever lose the one that you most commonly using. So if we open this up you can see it does have a twist style lock so it's going to be a lot more secure than your quarter twist locks.
On the inside we do have this O-ring that's gonna protect the internal components from dirt and grime. We also have the weather resistant tethered dust caps that are gonna help keep water and debris out of the keyways once we have it locked. And simply put that over top. Make sure that there's no dirt and that sort of thing getting in there. As far as our dimensions go, our overall length, we're sitting at, right about, six and three eights of an inch.
Our inside pin length or span here is going to be five, sorry, three and five eights of an inch. So if you are looking to help secure your Blue Ox adjustable ball mount for your three inch hitch and this is going to be a great way to not only secure the whole ball mount to your receiver tube on your vehicle but also the ball platform to the rest of the ball mount.
