Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at these fire rocks from Ignik. These are designed to be used inside of their FireCan, their portable propane powered fire pit. Let's check 'em out. So this is gonna be five pounds of tumbled stone that's designed to be used in the fire pit to give them more appealing look kind of help the flames move over there in a more appealing way. Personally compared to when the rocks weren't in there I don't see much difference whether we've got the fire turned up all the way like this or if we lower it down on the regulator.
It all looks pretty much the same to me in terms of how the flames look and feel. But it does give the FireCan a cool look. And the nice thing about it is those stones do heat up and after you turn off the fire they do retain a lot of that heat and radiate that a little bit too. Certainly not anything to ride home about it's not super warm, but it is something. You can of course use any sort of regular lava rocks or glass that's fire pit approved.
But with that, other lava rocks might have sharp, jagged edges and might scratch up the actual portion where the fire's coming from and just rough up the box overall. The other thing with the glass to consider that there is a hole at the bottom where we can light it from. So some of those might go through that hole depending on how big they are. And one thing to consider with this is that they do sometimes block the hole. So you might have to reach in through the top to light it.
Just be mindful of that. Overall, I do think it's a nice addition to the FireCan though, like I said it gives it a nicer look and the nice thing about it is that the hose that's included with the FireCan still fits inside for storage with the lid on whenever you have the rocks in. So it's not gonna change how that functions. You're still gonna be able to fit everything inside the can with that lid when you are transporting it. So that about does it for our look at the fire rocks for the Ignik FireCan.
Thanks for watching..
