Efficient tube-fin core merges a 4-pass engine oil cooler with a 4-pass transmission fluid cooler for maximum benefit. Integrated hose barbs measure 11/32" for transmission applications and 1/2" for engine oil applications.

Features:

  • Can be used with any 2 automotive systems - transmissions, engines, fuel or power steering systems
    • Fluids flow through separate tubes inside the same core for effective, simultaneous cooling
  • Lowers fluid temperatures with heat-exchanging tube-fin construction
  • Designed with copper tubing expanded into aluminum fins for maximum heat transfer
    • Copper is the best material for conducting heat from the fluid, and aluminum is ideal for transferring and dissipating that heat
  • Protected from possible damage during installation by plastic fin guards
  • Made in USA

Specs:

  • Inlets: 11/32" hose barb and 1/2" hose barb
  • Overall dimensions: 12-13/16" wide x 10-1/4" tall x 3/4" deep
  • Core length: 9-5/8"
  • Distance between inlets: 3-1/4"
  • 1-Year warranty

Perhaps the simplest type of heat exchanger, the tube-fin effectively cools a variety of automotive systems. The concept is simple: Fluid cools as it travels through the core by transferring heat out to the fins. The fins then provide the surface area necessary for sufficient heat exchange to take place, allowing the heat pulled from the fluid to dissipate into the surrounding air. Add to that Derale's unique turbulator technology - whereby fluids are agitated continuously to not only facilitate heat transfer, but also to prevent any undesirable drop in pressure - and you have an easy and effective cooling system.

  • Oil, Transmission and Power Steering Cooler Recommendations for 2003 Acura MDX
Yes, the aftermarket coolers we sell will provide comparable performance to dealer-installed supplementary coolers. The oil, transmission and power steering coolers we offer are intended to supplement, but not to replace, the standard OEM equipment on a passenger vehicle when it is faced with the demands of towing. The good news is that we offer a number of combination coolers, ones that feature dual cores to allow two different fluids to be cooled simultaneously within one common housing....

  • Installing Derale Combination Transmission/Engine Oil Cooler, Part # 13302, in a 2010 Honda Odyssey
The Derale Combination Transmission/Engine Oil Cooler Core, part # D13302, offers the convenience of being able to cool two engine fluids within one single housing. The protocol for cooling engine fluids is generally to cool the engine oil as a first priority, followed by the transmission fluid, and then the power steering fluid. Coolers are not vehicle-specific, meaning that you can use the largest one that will fit in the space available in front of your air-conditioning system condenser....

  • Best 2 Inch Trailer Hitch for a 2004 Honda Pilot with Full Size Spare Tire
All of the Class III hitches that we have available for the 2004 Honda Pilot install in much the same way and have the same towing capacity. None of the hitches require permanent removal of the spare tire, full size or space saver. This leaves the look of the hitch and cost as the only real difference between the available options. The Draw-Tite model you selected, # 75599, is a good choice. Some Items you may want to consider if towing with your Pilot are a transmission cooler and power...

  • Recommended Engine Oil Cooler for 2014 Ram 1500 with 3.6L
For your 2014 Ram 1500 I recommend using the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class III - Efficient # D13503 as a direct oil cooler instead of a transmission fluid cooler. Another option is to use the Derale Combination Transmission/Engine Oil Cooler Core - 12-13/16" x 10-1/4" x 3/4" # D13322 which will give you the double function cooling. The sandwich adapter kits like # D15405 you asked from are not compatible with your oil filter style. You can...
