Speaker 1: Today, we are going to take a look at the 5 amp dump body up indicator kit. Now this dump body up indicator will mount to the frame of your vehicle and to the dump bed and will notify you when the dump body is raised. It has a LED indicator light that'll provide visual indication. It's perfect for dump trucks and dump trailers and helps reduce the chance of an overhead collision with your raised dump body.Now this one uses the level style design. Basically, this lever switch bracket will mount to the truck frame and then this elevator bolt bracket will mount to the dump bed. So basically, what happens is when that comes and pushes down on that lever, your dump bed's closed.
As soon as the dump bed opens and releases that connection, it breaks that connection and this bright red light will draw the attention that the dump body is up.Now they also do offer a buzzer light, which we do sell separately on our website. It's part number 337BL10. It is listed on this product page as a related product and what that is, I happened to pull it. It looks like this. This part will give you an additional 70 decibel buzzer indication along with the red LED light.
So it will give you both audio and visual indication that the dump body is up. But we do sell that separately.Now this switch here, this lever switch is in a stainless steel switch housing. It is water resistant construction. It's very easy to install. It does include a nice set of detailed instructions that describe how to install it.
Includes this 20 foot long plug in wiring harness that you will just plug in and then connect your wires. We mentioned the red LED light with the connectors and even a nice decal for when you install this on your dash, you can put that around there to let you know what that light is for. Voltage on this kit is 12 volts DC, amperage is 5 amps and these parts are assembled in the USA.That should do it for the review on the 5 amp, dump body up indicator kit.
