Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the ARB light bar mount. This allows you to carry your different light bars of different shapes and sizes on your ARB base rack. With this, all you need is a half inch wrench as well as the hardware to mount your light bar and you are then able to attach this bracket. What a lot of people do is that they have the bracket attached pretty much permanently to the light bar if you need to throw it up onto your rack very quickly and this is gonna be the way to do it. Plus, this allows you to slide this around on your slats until you find the best spot for you and then you just tighten it down with your wrench. So compared to other rack systems where you're gonna have to find a channel and drop your hardware in, this is gonna be a lot easier to set up for you and make fit for your different situations as well as your different light bars.

Now, this specific bracket from ARB you can see is small, very low profile and doesn't stick out much. So let's take some measurements for you. So for clearance, you first wanna make sure that you have enough space for your light bar, so measuring from the wall of your base rack to where that bolt is, so where that bracket hole is, that's gonna be 1-5/8 of an inch distance. So that will help you figure out if you have a larger light bar, as well as how far out that light bar is going to sit past your vehicle. So this is made of steel that's gonna be an eighth of an inch thick, and then you have that black powder coat finish.

So this is actually thicker than the bracket that's usually used with this light bar. So for that reason, our bolt here is just barely long enough. Depending on what you are using, please accommodate for that thickness and you may need to get longer hardware to make up for it. This is sold as a pair, so you will have your left and your right-hand side just to create that support for whatever light you wanna put up there. For weight capacity, you can have up to 7.7 pounds of weight capacity, which will work for most types of lights.

Depending on the design, it's very likely that you'll still be able to pivot your lights in order to get the best view on your vehicle. So if you're looking to carry around your work lights, your overlanding lights, your light bars, things like that, and you want something that's very simple and easy to use, that's where these brackets come in handy. This is my go-to for if I just need a light bar bracket, but you also have to remember that this will take up space alongside the side of your base rack. So if you have anything else mounted along the sides, you do have other alternatives too. So there's also the under rack light bracket, which might be something you wanna consider if you would rather mount things underneath and keep that top area open, but that's gonna be another thing that you can find here on our website if you're curious.
