Troubleshooting Trailer Brake Lights On all the Time After New Wiring Harness Install
Question:
2009 Chrysler Town and Country...factory trailer wiring. Had to add new trailer harness...wired per directions. All functions OK except brake lights are on continuously, and then dim to running lights when brake pedal is depressed.

Something isn't wired up right on your 2009 Chrysler Town and Country. If this was a hardwire install where you had to tap into the taillight circuits of your vehicle I would double check that you have all of the connections made to the correct circuits. It really sounds like either you have a couple of the wires crossed or the wiring harness itself is just faulty which is pretty unlikely.
I attached an FAQ article on troubleshooting 4-way installs for you to check out as well.
