Recommended Snow Tire Chains for a 2013 Ford Explorer Sport with 255/50/R20 Tire Size

Hi I am interested in this snow chain but the owner manual says not to use any chain on the tire size 255/50 R20. There seems to be enough clearance, but not sure.. Can you please advice or recommend any other product?

The Thule snow tire chains # TH04115265 is a fit your 255/50/R20 tires. As long as you have 10mm of internal clearance you will be just fine. I have put these snow chains on tires before and they are the easiest and fastest tire chains to install using a self-centering and self-tensioning system. To release the tension, you push the red buttons at the bottom of the mast.

Since your Owners Manual on your 2013 Ford Explorer states don't use snow chains on 255/50/R20 tires, I would be hesitant to put snow chains on your tires, but if you call Ford they might have a better reasoning for snow chains not being recommended.
