Recommended Snow Chains for 2012 Toyota Tundra with 255/70-R18 Tire Size

Question:

I have a 2012 Tundra 2D. My tire size is 255 70R18 and I was looking for some advice on snow chains. We live by the beach and visit the mountains 3 or 4 times per year and most of the times the roads are clear but we can sometimes be required to carry chains. I like the look of the Thule products but what tips can you suggest?

I don't show any Thule chains that are a confirmed fit for your vehicle and tire size. However, the Titan Chain Diamond LT Alloy Snow Tire Chains # TC2326 are a fit for your 2012 Toyota Tundra with 255/70R18 tires. Of the tire chains we offer that are confirmed as a fit for your vehicle this would be your best option for occasional use, and ease of installation.

The diamond chain pattern on these tire chains has excellent traction in snow and grip in ice. It provides extra coverage and better traction for both forward movement, and better stopping power.

The diamond pattern also offers additional coverage when compared to the ladder style of chains, improving the versatility of this style of tire chains.

You will want to check your owner's manual for any restrictions on chain use.

I have included a couple of helpful articles for your reference and a video review of these chains at right.
