Question:
How far inside the bumper is the receiver recessed on a 2011Town and Country Mini Van? I need to see if my Swagman platform bike rack hitch arm will clear the bumper.

In the installation video for Draw-Tite hitch # 36455, which I have linked for you at right, you can see the position of the installed hitch at the 1:20 mark. This shows an underside view of the 2011 model year's rear bumper after hitch installation. I have also linked a screen shot image with an arrow to indicate the distance between the edge of the receiver tube and the rear edge of the bumper - just about 5-inches.
You can use this measure to compare to the clearance provided by your bike rack. If you have one of the Swagman platform racks shown on the link provided, such as the XTC-2 # S64670 for example, since this rack offer 8-inches of clearance from the hitch pin hole to the nearest wheel hoop, it would clear your bumper. Swagman's XC rack, part # S64650, offers a greater 10-1/2-inches of clearance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the first wheel hoop.
On each page for the racks we carry we provide the hitch-pin-hole-to-rack clearance dimension; this will help you determine the rack's fit before you install your hitch.
