Snow Chain Recommendation for a 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 265/70R17
Question:
Need tire chains for 2012 GMC Sierra 1500 265/70R17 manual states that I cant use chains what can I use? Going through a couple states that require chains for travel. Thanks

Situations like yours are interesting as it would seem there would be more than enough clearance for snow chains to install on your 2012 GMC 1500, but with that said we can't safely recommend anybody install a set of tire chains on a vehicle where the owners manual clearly states they are prohibited.
Your best option would be to get an inexpensive set of low profile chains so that if you get stopped in one of the states that require snow chains you have something to show the DOT. For that I would recommend the # TC2326. I attached a review video for this chain for you to check out as well.
