Can Ball Mounts Be Turned Upside Down To Increase Height
Question:
Can a 2inch X 2inch receiver with a 4inch be mounted and used upside down to increase the hitch height, without affecting performance?

Many of the ball mounts we offer that we offer that fit 2 inch receivers like part # 2753 which has a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop, that are designed to be able to use in a rise or drop position by simply turning it upside down, without losing any towing capacity.
There are a few ball mounts out there that are designed to only be used in one position, so you will want to make sure any ball mount you use has both the rise and drop listed.
I have attached a helpful article that explains how to choose the correct ball mount you can check out.
