Purpose of the Cable w/ Hooks at Each End that Comes with Pewag Chains # PWE2441S

Question:

Hello: I just received my set of Mud Service Square Link Pewag chains. They look great and shipping was prompt. I have a question: Packed with the pair of chains was a single length of cable with a small hook swaged to each end. This is also photographed on your web page with the description of the Mud Service Square Link chains. What is the purpose of this cable? Should there be two one for each chain? Ive reviewed the installation video you provide, Pewags website, and Pewags Traction Chain catalog - but I cant find this cable described anywhere. I suspect its use is simple and obvious to most, but I cant figure it out! Thanks in advance,

I spoke with my contact at Pewag and she informed me that the steel cable with two hooks on the end that you found with your part # PWE2441S is a mounting wire. It is used to help get the chains on. Not everyone needs it, as you can see in our install video I attached it's not totally necessary.
