Adding 7-Way Trailer Connector for Brake Controller on 2008 Chrysler Town and Country
Question:
I have a 2008 Chrysler TandC that has an OEM 4 connector flat on it. I need to upgrade to a 7 blade round with a brake controller for my new R-pod 178 camper. What items do I need?

Just about everything you need is available in one kit. Take a look at the 4 and 7-Way installation kit # ETBC7. This kit provides a 7-Way (the existing 4-Way will just plug into the 4-Way receptacle on the adapter) and it comes with all the wiring and circuit breakers you will need to wire in the brake controller.
The only other parts you will need are a circuit tester like # PTW2992, and, if your brake controller doesn't have a wiring adapter, you will need # 20127 (for Tekonsha or Reese brake controllers) or # C51515 (for Curt products).
I have included some links that show and explain the installation of the ETBC7 kit.
