Parts Needed to Make 2-Pole DC to 12V DC Power Plug Adapter

Question:

1. I need to know if I can get the following part with a 3 foot lead instead of the 12inch lead that it comes with? Part number is HM47965, Description is Hopkins 2-Pole Flat Wiring Extension - 12inch Long. 2. Does the following part require soldering or any special connection for connecting it to two wires? Rear View Safety Cigarette Lighter Adapter Item # RVS-505 I need to build a 2.5 to 3 ft. wire with a 2-pole flat wire plug on one end and a 12 volt DC Power plug on the other end. Do you have anything like this? Otherwise I will need to buy the parts in bullet points one and two above. Thanks

I have a solution for you, but we do not offer a 3 ft. 2-pole to 12V DC power plug adapter harness.

Your only option is to connect 3 of # HM47965 to reach your required length, or to cut off one plug on one of them and use heat shrink connectors # DW05744-10 to join the wire leads to additional 16-gauge wire such as # 16-1-1.

You can then simply hardwire the extension leads to the Rear View Safety Cigarette Lighter Adapter # RVS-505 using the same style connectors mentioned above.
