Trailer Hitch Recommendation For 2007 Honda Pilot
Question:
Would like to by a trailer hitch receiver kit to install on my 2007 Honda Pilot - was wondering which product is recommended - Curt, Hidden, etc? Are they fairly easy to install if someone is good with tools?

The hitch I recommend for your 2007 Honda Pilot is the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, part # 75599. This is a Class lll hitch and has a 2 inch receiver opening. The installation requires no drilling so if someone is handy with tools they should have no problem installing the hitch. You do need to make sure whoever installs the hitch uses a torque wrench to make sure it is properly installed.
I have included a link to an installation video for this hitch on a 2008 Pilot. Although a different year, the installation should be very similar.
if you plan on towing with your Pilot, I recommend the etrailer.com Ball Mount kit, part # 989900. This kit includes 2 hitch balls, 2 ball mounts, the pin and clip, and a handy storage bag. I have attached a product review video for this kit you can check out.
If you need wiring to tow a trailer, I recommend the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, part # 118336. As the attached installation video shows, this uses a location point in the rear cargo area, and requires no cutting, splicing, or tapping into wires.
When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
