Installing TowReady T-One Vehicle 4-Pole Wiring Harness # 118449 in 2014 Toyota Highlander

Question:

I have a 2014 Toyota Highlander XLE AWD without a tow package. I purchase trailer harness #118449. I cant get past the first step in the install. There is no harness to plug into under the dash. Can you please help? Thanks.

Thank you for your recent purchase from etrailer of T-One 4-Pole Wiring Harness # 118449. This harness is a correct fit for your 2014 Toyota Highlander without factory tow package.

Often the factory wiring/connectors may be taped to other wiring or tucked out of the way for safety. It may take a few twists and contortions to get yourself into a position to allow you to find the connector. The linked video will help you see the whole process.

The connection point for the 4-way tow harness is located behind the driver's-side interior trim panel in your rear cargo area. The ModuLite plugs into the factory wiring harness beneath your dash, on the driver's side. Please refer to the photos on the product page.
