Question:
Need a hitch and wiring for a 2004 Chevy Malibu Classic 4 door. Have a ball mount and ball already. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The highest capacity hitch offered for your 2004 Chevrolet Malibu Classic is the Curt Class II hitch # C12027. This 1-1/4-inch hitch installs using included hardware and has a 350-lb tongue weight rating. It is necessary that your scooter and its carrier have a combined weight that does not exceed this 350-lb limit. Further, Curt requires for maintaining their hitch warranty that all non-trailer loads (things like hitch-mount carriers and bike racks) be supported with a stabilizing strap, their part # 18050.
For a 4-pole wiring harness you can use Curt # C56175. A review video for this is linked along with a helpful article on hitch installation.
