Which Replacement Hub/Drums and Brake Assemblies Needed for 1985 Monarch Horse Trailer
Question:
I have a 1985 bumper pull Monarch 2 horse steel trailer with 2 axles no tack room. I do not know any more about this beast. I want to replace the elec brake assys and drums, so I went onto your website and there are several types and sizes to chose from. I have no idea what to buy. I have no idea what axle weights I have either. How can I determine what to buy? thx

As a first step, you'd want to determine the reference numbers from the inner and outer wheel bearings and the wheel bolt pattern used by your current hub/drums. If the reference numbers aren't readable, you'd need to use a digital caliper on the surfaces of the spindle where the inner and outer bearing and the grease seal ride. With this information, I can recommend a replacement drum. To recommend replacement brake assemblies, I'd need to know the inside diameter and depth of your brake drums.
