Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendation for 2008 Ford Focus
Question:
I would like to make sure Im ordering the best choice before I place the order. I have a trailer hitch and an old behind-the-spare-tire bike rack for a Jeep Liberty but I cant load my bike by myself anymore because Im short and a senior. So, I would like to put a hitch on my 2008 Ford Focus and a low bike rack.Would you recommend a Drawtite hitch 24805 together with a Swagman XC 2 Bike Rack 564650? Also, my bike is an adult extra small. Is that ever a problem with that model of Swagman? Finally, I presume I would not need wiring or a ball mount, right? Also, if I purchase these items, any ideas where I can get the hitch installed? I live in the Ann Arbor, Michigan, area. Thank you!

The Draw Tite Hitch part # 24805 that you referenced would be an excellent choice for a hitch to install the Swagman XC Bike Rack part # S64650 that you also referenced. This rack should sit low enough to allow you to install your bike racks easily, but not so low that you would have ground clearance problems. Check out the review video I attached for the bike rack.
As far as a shop to install the hitch, any local garage to you should have no problem installing the hitch. You would not need a ball mount or trailer wiring for your setup either.
