Will the Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller and Wiring Adapter Fit a 2011 Toyota Sequoia Platinum
Question:
I am considering purchasing your brake controller 39510-3040P for my 2011 Toyota Sequoia Platinum. The vehicle has the trailer package with both 4 and 6 pin connections at the hitch. I have removed the kick panel below the drivers seat and confirmed that there is a white connector available for attaching a controller. I will be towing a 2007 Airstream 25B Safari. Is this the recommended controller for my set-up?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Yes, the Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller, # 39510, and the Toyota Brake Controller Wiring Adapter, # 3040-P, are the correct parts for your 2011 Toyota Sequoia Platinum. It sounds like you have the factory tow package. The white connector under your dash will connect to the white connector on the wiring adapter and the black connector will connect to the brake controller. This adapter also has a separate ground wire that should be attached to a clean bare metal surface under the dash.
