How to Pick out a Surge Brake Actuator for a M105 Military Trailer
Question:
I am looking at purchasing a M105 military trailer with air brakes, and I want to convert it to surge brakes. Do you have a recommended actuator? I can handle all the fabrication work to adapt it. Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
That really depends on the weight of the trailer plus the weight of any cargo you plan on putting in that trailer.
I would recommend you check out the link I attached to the right that shows all of the Titan actuators we carry, select the weight capacity you need from the facets on the left and then select any of the couplers listed and you should be good.
I also attached an FAQ article on adding hydraulic drum brakes to a trailer, as well as an article on adding hydraulic disc brakes to a trailer for you to check out to see what other components are needed.
