Would this work on an 84 wide ramp door in a 96 wide trailer?
Question:
It looks like the cables would mount approximately 79inch wide on the door, would this unit work for that width? It currently has a single cable door assist, and with the ramp extensions mounted to the door it needs much more assist force.

I spoke with my contact at Redneck about the Enclosed Trailer Ramp Spring, part # CB250D96SHD on your trailer. They told me that the pipe that the springs and cable assemblies are attached to can be cut down to work on your 84 inch door.
If you decide you want the shorter ramp spring for enclosed trailers that part # is ERS120D81.
The installation instructions for this product are recommended for individuals who have experience winding torsion springs. If you have not worked with a torsion spring system before, we recommend contacting a local garage door company to install this system.
