Mounting Position Of Bulldog Powered-Drive Trailer Jack
Question:
I would like to be able to open my truck tail gate while the trailer is hooked up. I did some measurements and its going to be tight. I have a hand crank and I can open the tail gate with the crank handle at the 12 oclock position. My question is, Does it matter if I install this product with the switches facing either right or left instead of forward facing? This is incase I the tail gate does not clear the housing of the elctric jack,, Ill just install it sideways. Please advise. 26 ft Carson FDD Toy hauler

The Bulldog Powered-Drive Trailer Jack, part # BD500187, you referenced can be installed facing any direction you find is easiest for you. I would note that you should install it in a position that would allow you to use the manual function if you should lose power. The mounting flange on the power jack does have a couple of hole mounting patterns that should give you the flexibility you are looking for.
I have attached an installation video for this powered jack you can check out.
