What is the Stabilizer Strap that Curt Recommends Get Used with Their Hitches
Question:
All non-trailer loads - bike racks, cargo carriers and so forth - should be supported with stabilizing straps. Failure to properly support these loads will void your hitch warranty from CURT. What is a Stabilization Strap and how to properlyinch support a bike rack with a Stabilization Strap?
asked by: Alex
Expert Reply:
A stabilizer strap will attach to the hitch accessory and then attach to the vehicle to provide support for the accessory to help prevent some of the shock from bumps from being transferred to the hitch. The Curt Strap part # 18050 is one that is most often used. I attached a demo video that shows how to use this product for you to check out.
