A 215/65R/15 is not a common trailer tire size. But if the size is actually ST215/65-15 then it can be used on a trailer.
An ST205/75-15 tire will have an overall diameter of 27.3 inches and width of 8.1 inches.
A 215/65-15 tire will have an overall diameter of 26 inches and width of 8.5 inches. As long as there is a half inch of space or more available between the tire and trailer frame then the size is compatible as long as it is a trailer tire.
Trailer tires are constructed differently than vehicle tires. Trailer tires have a thicker sidewall to handle more vertical load and must always be inflated to the maximum psi rating on the tire. Trailer tires should not be used on vehicles and vehicle tires should not be used on trailers.
The exception is that some trailers and RVs will use Light Truck (LT) tires. I have linked our trailer tire help article for you.
