Hitch Mounted Platform Bike Carrier Recommendation For 2013 Nissan Murano
Question:
I just purchased from you a hidden hitch for my 2013 Nissan Murano very happy with product and install instructions. My question is I need to purchase a bike rack now and I am leaning toward Thule Doubletrack. I would like to know if this style rack is better than the hanging racks? And if so is this the best rack compared to others that are available. I was interested in the Yakima but the Thule looks like it has more features. Please advise what is best to haul a womens and mens bike for my vehicle . Platform or Hanging and best rack for my needs. Thanks.

The Thule Doubletrack Pro XT Bike Carrier, Part # TH92BJ is a good fit for your 2013 Nissan Murano. It will carry 2 bikes with almost any frame design. It has a lock system that secures the bikes to the carrier and folds down to allow access to the vehicle rear cargo area.
Another platform carrier I recommend is the Saris Freedom 2-Bike Rack, part # SA4412B. This carrier holds the bikes by the wheels and is also one of the lightest platform racks we carry so it can be easier to slide into the Murano's hitch.
