Is a Brake Controller Wiring Harness Available for a 2009 Acura MDX

Will this adapter work on a 2009 Acura MDX with the factory wiring kit.

It is possible that the brake controller wiring harness # 3070-P will fit your 2009 Acura MDX since it is designed for the Honda Pilot and Ridgeline. However, it has not been confirmed to fit by the manufacturer and we have not tested it so I cannot confirm or deny its fit.

I recommend hardwiring in a controller using wiring kit # 5506. You would remove the wire in the 7 oclock position attached to the back of the factory 7-Way. You would then install the wire incldued with # 5506 in its spot (the included wire actually has 2 wires in it, a white and a black, just use one or the other).

Route the wire under the vehicle, avoiding areas that may pinch or burn the wire, and into the vehicle cab, likely through the firewall. Attach the wire to the blue brake controller wire.

For the rest of the installation you can follow the relevant parts of the instructions I have linked. For a brake controller I recommend the P2 # 90885. It is reliable, easy to set up, and easy to use.
