Parts Needed to Add 7-Way to 2015 Toyota Highlander For Trailer Brake Controller
Question:
I have a 2015 highlander hybrid with no trailer hookups whatsoever. I need a 7 pin for my new camper and was hoping someone could help me get the right parts.

Hi Jonathan,
Sure thing, we can get your 2015 Toyota Highlander set up with a 7-way and brake controller so you can tow your camper. I'll go ahead and list out the parts you need for your Highlander without the factory tow package:
- T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56217
- Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7
- Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED52VR
The 4-way will plug into the 7-way that comes with the # ETBC7 which will give you all the necessary connections for your trailer lights and brakes. Then the Liberty brake controller is great because it has a knob that is easy to use and out of the way, leaving a bulky unit out of your cab. The only other thing I recommend is a mounting panel for the knob, and the right one for your Highlander is part # 331-TPSI-002.
