Hub & Drum And Electric Brakes For 2,000 lb & 2,200 lb Timbren Axle-Less With Long Spindle & 4" Lift
Question:
Back in 2017 I bought Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - 4 Lift Spindle - Wide Tires - 2,000 lbs Code ASR2KHDS03. Im looking to replace them as theyre pretty worn down and broken in a couple spots and I trashed the brakes when the castle nut came off on a trip a few years back... anywho, Im hoping to replace them with either the 2.2K or the 3.5K versions and I need new brakes and hubs. Can you advise which would be a drop in replacement for the version Ive got installed? Thanks so much!

Hey Dan,
So I'm not quite sure if you are just wanting new hub/drums and electric brakes for your current 2,000 lb Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - Heavy Duty - Long Spindle w/ 4" Lift # ASR2KHDS03, or you want to replace it with the 2,200 lb version which is part # ASR1THDS03.
Either way, I can tell you the exact hub and drum along with electric brakes that you need, as the same hubs and brakes fit both systems. What you will need for either the 2,000 lb or 2,200 lb Axle-Less with a long spindle is the following:
- Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 84656UC3-EZ
- Electric Trailer Brakes - Self-Adjusting # AKEBRK-35-SA
- Mounting Hardware for 10" Brake Assemblies # BRKH10B
So you can use these parts for either the 2k or 2.2k version of the Timbren, and just note that even though the hub and drum says "for 3,500 lb axles" on the product page, it works for these systems because it has the proper bearings and seal to fit the long spindle on the Timbrens.
