Can Curt Hitch Fit Same Rails as Older Curt Fifth Wheel Hitch

Question:

Have a 2022 Chevy 3500HD 8ft bed. SRW. it does not have prep package. i want to replace the fifth wheel that i currently have which is an older Curt. Can i buy just a unit that will pin to my existing bed rails? Pulling a Brinkley Z3100 15,000 lb full weight. i currently have a bed cover so i would like it to hitch under the cover. Thank you so much. Jesse

Hey Jesse, yes a standard fifth wheel hitch like the Curt part # C22ER which is a 30k fifth wheel hitch. This will work really great with your RV and since the handle does not stick up it would fit under your tonneau as well.

Jameson, this is exactly what i need. i want to be able to just using my existing mounting brackets. i am guessing this comes with mounting pins as well? Does this need grease or a disc for hook up. Or are the replaceable pads for that? Last question i cannot order until tomorrow when i get my quarterly commission check. is there a way i can still get the free shipping? thank you very much for your help. Jesse 724-516-0267

@Jesse Yes, the Curt hitch I mentioned does come with the pins needed to secure it to the fifth wheel rails in the bed of your truck. You do not ever need to use a lube plate or disc with this hitch either. Also you don't have to use grease at all which is really nice. The wear plates are replaceable with part # C52WR. A little birdy told me that the free shipping offer will also be good tomorrow as well... :)
