Parts Needed to Replace 12" Disc Brakes with Electric Drum Brakes
Question:
I have 10” rotors on a 3500lb axle. But I have 16” wheels. The trailer is a 2003 Calico 2 horse trailer. Will these work?

Hey Eric!
Are you wanting to change from disc brakes to electric hub and drums, or are you just wanting to replace the rotors themselves? Traditionally 10" brakes are only compatible with up to 15" wheels but if yours have been working just fine then I can help you out with replacements.
The 10" Dexter Electric Trailer Brakes # 23-26-27 will work if you have 3,500 lb axles and a square 4-bolt brake mounting flange (2-7/8" apart on center) but you'll also need 2 of the 10" Hub and Drum Kit # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K to swap over to this type of system. Since these are electric brake assemblies you'll also need to lock out your actuator and run 10 Gauge Wire # 10-1-1 and use Butt Connectors # DW05745-10 for your brakes to work.

Ok, I’m just trying to replace what is already there. It’s a dual axle trailer with 6 lug 16” wheels but only one has brakes. They are 10” drum brakes, not discs.
